FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

With most of our retreats and offerings meals are included. Nutritious, fresh and utilising organic ingredients where possible. Prior to your attendance we will reach out to confirm any allergies and/or food intolerances or specific dietary requirements you may have. We will do our upmost to accommodate these or advise if otherwise. Our focus is on you and ensuring you get the most out of the experience.

In the situation you are unable to make the retreat/offering we ask that you allow at least 2 weeks notice, where possible we will re-advertise your space and if/when filled we will refund the balance paid. If you are joining us for a private retreat we will look to secure an alternative date that aligns for both parties. In extenuating circumstances we will discuss directly. If for any reason the event is cancelled by the organisers, refunds will be made in full.

We are happy to discuss flexible payment plans or instalment options to help you settle your exchange with us. If an alternative payment schedule than what is noted would better suit your needs, we are open to exploring options with you. Our goal is to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent anyone from accessing opportunities to improve their health and well-being.

We operate a strict no alcohol and substance policy. We ask that guests refrain from smoking inside any of our cabins and buildings, communal outdoor areas or anywhere that may disturb and hinder the stay of others. We also respectfully ask guests to dispose of cigarette stubs appropriately, so as not to affect our woodland

Our woodland accommodation cabin is an open-plan twelve bed dwelling designed for restorative rest and recalibration. Welcoming both men and women to reside in the same space on mixed retreats with shared access to our ablutions cabin. Our private studio residence can be booked as a private accommodation as part of a retreat, hosting a king size bed, petite walk-in wardrobe, toilet and further amenities upstairs. Downstairs the studio hosts an open plan studio space with an impressive wet room bathroom. Additionally, the studio is available for private bookings for one night to longer residencies.

RETREAT FAQ'S

GENERAL FAQ'S

We do have Wi-Fi available and most mobile phone carriers have a reception however we invite those who join us to tune out from the external to tune into themselves. One of the CAIM owners contact numbers will always be shared for people to contact you if needed in the case of an emergency.

WIFI

Sadly, we are not able to welcome your pets to join you. If you have a service animal and wish for them to be in attendance, we ask for you to reach out to discuss in advance. 

We do have a very small hypoallergenic dog in residence at CAIM that you may meet, we will check in with you or the group before introducing you to them.

PETS

You’ll receive an information booklet and email before you arrive for your offering/retreat with a full list of what we would recommend you bring. Whether you join us for a day or overnight we recommend you always bring outdoor clothing, including waterproofs, wellies or walking boots for all times of the year.

PACKING

All retreats and offerings are shared in English unless otherwise stated.

LANGUAGE

Gift vouchers are available for any financial exchange which can be put towards any offering facilitated by CAIM. These can be emailed or posted out in beautiful packaging perfect for gifting | Purchase A Voucher

We do not have an open door policy and therefore not accessible to drop in without a scheduled visit.

Dropping In

Currently most of our offerings are focused for individuals aged 18+. Our Wheel of the Year gatherings are family friendly and children of all ages are welcome alongside their legal guardian.

CHILDREN

Due to the layout of our existing buildings and the nature of the outdoor landscape we unfortunately are not wheelchair accessible. Individuals that require additional support are invited to reach out directly to discuss if our spaces are accessible to your requirements.

Accessibility

Multiple parking spaces are available, we invite and encourage car sharing which can be arranged directly with other retreat attendees or through CAIM directly.

PARKING

Located at the foot of the Scottish Highlands in the Highlands of Perthshire our exact address is provided to you as part of our welcome email, you can land with us …

 

By Car (recommended) | Just under 1.5 hours drive from both Scotland’s main city centres of Glasgow and Edinburgh, 1 hour from Dundee and 30 minutes from Perth. 

 

By Plane | Advisable to land in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, then hiring a car or making your way into the city to connect with a train or bus.

 

By Rail or Bus | We can facilitate a collection from a local train or bus station for an additional exchange if arranged in advance. Being rural it means local taxis can be difficult to come by with high rates however we are happy to pass on contacts if this is your preference.

 

By Foot | Not safely accessible on foot, we can facilitate a collection as above for an additional exchange if arranged in advance.
